About me
I grew up in the beautiful village of Echallens in the canton of Vaud and thanks to parents from the German-speaking part of Switzerland, I first of all grew up bilingual and secondly I was taught to use resources carefully. Waste material was divided, energy and water were saved as much as possible and the car was only used in case of emergencies. The awareness that mankind does not live in harmony with nature and uses far too many resources that are not renewable led me to study environmental and energy sciences at ETH Zurich. After more than 10 years of professional experience in the field of energy, I can consciously use my knowledge to give the energy transition a boost.

Hobbies
Sport: Almost all sports are a hobby for me, especially basketball, where I am not only a player but also a referee. Otherwise, I like to be in Winter out on the snow in the mountains.
Travel: For me, going on a trip doesn’t just mean going on holiday, but getting to know another culture and thus also seeing your own country from a different perspective. Last but not least, experiences abroad are important to have an open and creative attitude in life.
Music: I have been playing the piano since childhood and now I also try to compose small pieces by myself.
Cook: I have been married to an Italian woman for more than ten years. Cooking, good food and drink have become a great passion. As a result, I live now by the motto, “Life is too short to eat bad food”.
